Teaching visits are designed to help families and caregivers confidently manage their child’s medical needs at home. During these visits, our skilled nurses provide hands on education and guidance tailored to your child’s specific diagnosis, equipment, and care requirements. Teaching may be ordered for a variety of reasons, including feeding support, colostomy care, tracheostomy care, IV infusion therapy, medication administration, and other specialized medical needs.

Our nurses take time to walk families through each step of the care process, answer questions, and demonstrate techniques so caregivers feel prepared and supported. Education may include proper equipment use, recognizing warning signs, infection prevention, and safe care routines.
